Let’s go back a few years ago… maybe over a decade. Family vacations were usually places we could drive to, and on every road trip someone would always ask me, “How beautiful are those tress, those leaves, or those mountains?” I would usually respond with a roll of the eyes then proceed to listening to my music. This started a run-on family joke. “Go ask Jessica about the leaves, she hates it!” I didn’t like the joke.
One year for my birthday I was gifted a rather large and heavy present. I excitedly unwrapped a book. Just to paint a picture of myself back then, I didn’t like books or enjoy reading like I do now… and to complete the joke, it was a nature book. They got me. I’m pretty sure my face was red and annoyed.
Its funny how things change. Exploring what this world has to offer is absolutely beautiful. The tables have turned. So, here’s my question to you… How beautiful are those trees, those leaves and those mountains?
In celebration of my up coming birthday on Thursday, I…
I grew up being oddly shy when celebrating my birthdays.…

Your pictures are beautiful! Although summer is my favorite month of the year to see nature (with all the flowers and the sun on your face), I do love fall as well.
Isn’t it funny the things we look back on when we were younger and wish we would have appreciated a bit more? But I guess that’s part of life and growing up– you learn as you go! Those pictures are so gorgeous and capture autumn perfectly
Such pretty pictures! And I love getting books, I love to read!
Thank you Jackie.
Don’t get me wrong I love summer. I associate summer with fun and fall with relaxation I’m happy you enjoyed the photos.
