In celebration of my up coming birthday on Thursday, I decided not to be like the norm and have a birthday cake. Instead, I wanted to go on a dessert tour! My husband and I spent the day in the West Village tasting all the treats my “Hart” desired.
From the Iced Mint Mocha coffee to The world’s best Cannoli… (Which, I agree was the best!) I was in birthday heaven!
Our adventure began at the Chocolate Bar. Just as the name states, its a chocolate bar that serves everything from specialty coffee drinks to homemade chocolate bars. This place is a chocolate lovers dream! We ended up ordering the Minty Mocha Iced Coffee with a Salted Carmel Chocolate Cookie. Talk about “chocolate wasted!”
Next up on the tour was Milk & Cookies. How cute is the name?! It makes me laugh thinking about Bernie Mac’s milk & cookies story from the King’s of Comedy. (Its old but I bet you can find the skit somewhere on YouTube) We ordered a Peanut Butter Creme Wafer Sandwich. The creme reminded me of a Nutter Butter cookie. Yum!
Lastly, we visited Rocco’s to get a taste of “The World’s Best Cannoli!” This was probably my favorite treat on the tour. We walked in and was immediately attacked by the aroma of Italian pastries. The selection was vast but we settled on a classic cannoli and coffee.
Thanks for joining in on my birthday adventure. Until next time!
